The Generation Equality Forum is a major global inflexion point for gender equality that calls for global key stakeholders at all levels to define permanent acceleration plans and programmes in equality, leadership and opportunity for women and girls worldwide. With the current gender equality crisis exacerbated with COVID-19, the Forum offers a critical opportunity to confront the action and implementation of the Beijing Women’s Conference to get gender equality progress back on track.
The Generation Equality Forum is a civil-society centred, global gathering for gender equality convened by UN Women and co-hosted by the governments of Mexico and France. The Forum calls and brings together governments, corporations and change-makers from all over the world to define and announce ambitious investments and policies to progress gender equality.
The main aim of the Forum is to launch a series of concrete, ambitious and transformative actions to achieve immediate and irreversible progress towards gender equality.
The Forum represents a key moment for gender equality advocates from every sector of society worldwide to drive urgent action and accountability for gender equality.
